Where can I get some good southern cooking in Philly? I've been to this restaurant in NYC called the Hog Pit, and they have a great menu of chicken fried steaks, collards, cheesey grits, fried pickle chips and the like and I love the place, but I have yet to hear about any such place in Philly. By the way if you ever get up to NYC, check out the Hog Pit. It's right off of 9th Avenue(it may even be right on 9th Ave.) around 13th St. in the meat packing district. Head over to Hogs & Heiffers for a Pabst and a shot after dinner.
