The Counter

I had lunch today at The Counter, my second try since emailing the owner my complaints.

I am happy to say it was really good! I ordered my 2/3 lb. burger medium rare and it was looking promising when the first cut showed red (since the meat is fuller at the center, I knew it wouldn't be overcooked). My only comment would be that when I got to the middle it was actually rare, but this isn't a problem for me. If you want your meat medium-rare in the middle I recommend ordering it medium, and while the sides will not be pink, the rest should be fine.

Also, the food came faster then ever before (one of my complaints was the sometimes long wait) and I noticed that other customers were receiving their food quickly as well. Apparently the owner has responded to the challenges with positive results.

I am really pleased with TC and plan to visit it often now that it's doing things right. It still is a little on the pricey side (Burger/side salad/soft drink = $14.00), but when I enjoy the meal this much I can handle that with no problem!!!

Burger Boy, if you're out there, try it again and report back!
