I have had the best time checking out each daily entry in this French blog 'Paris by Mouth"
A Buche de Noel every day from a fancy patisserie! Super fun and fanciful!
I am making one too, but of the more traditional kind; an almond chiffon cake, brushed with ameretto syrup, with a bittersweet chocolate mousse filling and a heart of blackberry or morello cherries - I haven't quite figured that out yet. Rolled, and frosted with a smooth dark chocolate ganache coating, topped with 'bark' made of shaved chocolate and silver sprinkles (like fairy snow).
Enjoy the Yule logs!
Anyone else making one, and want to share what your's will be like?
