The Coterie Room

I don't think they have their own topic yet...

Had a nice dinner there tonight. Soft succulent foie torchon on buttery toast with gastique was appropriately rich. Seared scallops with cauliflower , fried capers, and pickled raisins were great but could have used a couple more capers and pickly bits. Almond financiers with quince for dessert were good but too sweet.

I liked the new ceiling, much better than Zoe's acoustical panels, but didn't care for the re-done bathrooms. I think the hexagonal tile would hurt my brain if I was in there after more than two cocktails.

I failed to inquire about the 6 pack for the kitchen, the bartender was so engrossed in chatting with his coworker I didn't want to interrupt.

Overall a good choice for something swankier and better than the surrounding happy hours.
