Hey hounds. I am heading to Cote d'Azur next month and am trying to set up a food itinerary with some higher end stuff and some more reasonable places. I am going to try for lunch at La Merenda one day and will obvisouly also get some Socca. But I was hoping to get some advice on some specific comparisons.
Bistrot d'Antoine vs. Comptoir du Marche in Nice
-Both by the same chef/owner. Antoine seems to get better reviews online but not mentioned much on this board.
Bacon in Cap d'Antibes vs. Bistrot de la Marine in Cagnes sur Mer
-I've read that the bouillabaisse at Bacon is amazing but I've also read that the chef at Marine is one of the best chefs at cooking fish in the world so I'm torn. Obviously the view for Bacon is a huge selling point.
Louis XV in Monte Carlo vs. La Chevre d'Or in Eze
-Not sure I'll even make it to these given the prices. Louis XV speaks for itself but it appears that people rave about La Chevre d'Or, even more so than Louis XV
Kei Matsushima vs. Les Deux Canailles in nice
-Former has a Michelin star but it seems like there is a buzz about the latter.
Thanks for any advice.
