I found out today that you can get untrimmed, fresh beef brisket from CostCo (Lincoln Park), still in the vacuum packed bag from the original meat packer, for $1.59 a pound. The largest size they had today was 7 lbs., but they don't display these, you have to ask the manager of the meat department to bring you one. This is far cheaper than the price of the same cut from the same packer than I have found at Paulina.
