I visited Costa Rica several years ago, and I had this delicious tortilla-esque snack sold by some sidewalk vendor in some little village. It was round and made of corn like a regular tortilla, but it was thicker and bright yellow, not that light off-white color of most tortillas. It was also served plain (w/ some butter, no meat, veggies, etc.) Does anyone know what this is called? Is it just the Costa Rican version of a tortilla or does it have its own name? Any suggestions for a recipe?
