Cosimos/Westfield A Strange Experience

A group of 5 women who hadn't seen each other in a long time went to Cosimos for dinner a few weeks ago. We each ordered and enjoyed entrees which came with small salads. After we had finished, the waitress came and brought our check. One of my friends told her that we weren't ready to leave, that we wanted dessert and coffee. The waitress looked at her strangely and said, "Really? You want dessert here?" Now the woman to whom the waitress made this remark is rather overweight and joked about how maybe the waitress didn't think she 'needed' dessert. The waitress left our table and came back and asked again if we really wanted dessert and coffee. She said that Cosimos desserts weren't really very good and that around the corner at Rockin' Joes the desserts were much better. Was this weird or what? I asked her if she needed the table...which she didn't. It also was only 8pm, not anywhere near closing time. We did stay and get a few desserts to share, which were only mediocre. But I know Rockin' Joes....they do have better desserts and coffees; but the place is VERY LOUD and doesn't even have a table to sit 5. Our group had gone to dinner to visit and talk and didn't want to leave a comfortable restaurant and take our chances at a coffeshop. Just wanted to share this interesting experience....
