Corvina in South Florida

What's a corvina in South Florida? I did some research online and it seems to be a general name for a fish from the scaienidae family. And that could be Atlantic Croaker, Black Drum, Red Drum, Kingfish, Spot, Spotted or Speckled Sea Trout, Weakfish, White Sea Bass, Orangemouth Corvina, Yellowfin Corvina, Golden Corvina, Shortfin Corvina, etc., etc. And even more troubling is that Drums and croakers are totally unrelated to either bass or trout. (source: http://www.ochef.com/957.htm)

I've seen many Peruvian menus around the area selling corvinas, and even the respectable, locally-sourced Area 31 in downtown miami markets a "corvina" fish.

So my question is what type of fish is normally served as a corvina in South Florida?
