Corti's Raviolis -- Sacramento

Ann Vuletich | Dec 22, 2003 02:10 AM

Well, tonight we had what has become a traditional just-before-Christmas dinner: Corti hand made ravioli with their meat sauce. I got both the beef and the holiday ravioli (which, despite the name, is usually sold at other times of the year). The holiday ravioli is filled with spinach, parmesan-romano and turkey, though I have never detected the turkey and only knew that it is an ingredient by reading the label. These ravioli are incredibly good, particularly the holiday version. A box (4 dozen) is $4.99.

I also grilled one of the checkers about the impact of the new Trader Joe's, about 7 blocks down the street, on their business. He said that once Thanksgiving (when TJ's opened) was over, things got back to normal. The parking lot was pretty full today, Sunday, mid day. I of course am ecstatic to hear this, though I never really thought that TJ's would significantly impact Corti's and even had a heated debate with one of the TJ's checkers on that point.
