The Cornerstone

Over the weekend I checked out The Cornerstone, a new bar (and still in renovation) in Kensington. The place is clearly in its early stages, but it looks promising. When we were there they had only one beer on tap and about 6-7 in bottles. They also had a fully stocked bar (the owner makes a mean margarita). The owner said that he planned to expand the beer selection to 40 beers, with one rotating Belgian. He also plans to serve food once he gets the kitchen up and running. The crowd was also great, very friendly and chatty. I hadn't realized that there were so many hipsters in Kensington. A final bonus is the train access; the bar is about 50 feet from the Cortelyou Road station on the Q train. I'll definitely be back, and all of you boozehounds out there who haven't seen this place should skip on over.
