We went to Coriander in Sharon last night and I thought I would check in and see if anyone else has been. The setting is very comfortable, but I feel that it would be enhanced by a bar waiting area, but space is an issue. We had a lobster crepe and coriander crusted scallops appetizer. The crepes were light and lobster-filled. The scallops were truly delicious, with the coriander crust and light cream sauce making a winning combination. One issue though, it could have been a tad warmer. The water glasses were well tended, and the bread was fantastic. We learned the bread was from Fornax Bakery in Roslindale.
I had the salmon and succotash with sweet onions. The slamon was a little underdone for my liking, but the sweet corn succotash and sauce were wonderful. My partner had swordfish, which was good, but not the most tasty this year; again, a little underdone. We had just the best service, the waitress knew her wine, and steered us to new and unchartered territory. Interestingly, there are no American wines on the list, but it is a very interesting and eclectic menu all the same. I can't wait to go back. The service is top notch, and the setting is nice, but again, we need a bar!
