Coq au Vin -- Missing a rooster

I want to make Jeffrey Steingarten's recipe for Coq au Vin, but he is very specific about needing to purchase a rooster, a big one at that. And I tried Mayflower Poultry of the famous "Live Poultry Fresh Killed" sign in Cambridge, but they only have little chicks. Any ideas about where I could get a fresh rooster or two for cooking? Farms, maybe, that sell direct?
