Copacabana Grill

Just returned from my second visit to the newly-expanded Copacabana Grill on 36th Avenue and 32nd Streeet in Astoria. What used to be a decent Brazilian buffet has become a really delicious bargain churrascaria. The buffet offers the same mix of stews, rice, beans, salads, and fried yumminess they did before, but there's a pretty serious bunch of meat churning on spits now too, and it's all delicious: steak, chicken, sausage, pork. I'm afraid I tried all of the meats. I can't do much right now but type, but I have a smile on my face. Some might find the steak over-salted, but I like salt. Make sure to ask how cooked the pieces are: some of the meat looked well done, which is a mortal sin in my mortal world, but if you ask the guy he'll find a cut to your liking. You pay for everything from salads to meat by the pound--I pigged out for about eight and a half bucks. Not sure how this compares to the other Brazilian buffets nearby, but I'm very, very happy to have the place in my neighborhood.
