Coops Place

Jersey City Mods | Sep 1, 2004 12:14 PM

I just got back from New Orleans and I have to say that the Jambalaya at Coops was by far the best of the whole trip (I had it at Acme Oyster House as well).

For $6.00 I got a good sized bowl filled with large shrimp (not cooked down to the size of my pinky fingernail). It also contained large chunks of tasso, crawfish, rabbit and other goodies. It also had a really nice hot spicy kick to it.

The Red Beans there were also very good. Honestly, I wish I hadn't waited til the afternoon before I had to catch my plane to go there. I have to admit, I ate there probably 8 years ago and don't remember it being that good. IT ROCKED!!
