We're doing a tasting of great potato chips and colas on July 9th in Manhattan (see info below).
We've got all the potato chips and most of the colas locked in, but does anyone have any much-loved colas to recommend? Small regional brands from far away are fine.
Hungry? Then drop by Tekserve (119 W. 37th b/w 6th & 7th) on Saturday, July 9th at 2pm for a free tasting of some amazing and totally obscure potato chips and colas, courtesy of Chowhound, New York City's web haven for those who live to eat. Jim Leff, Chowhound's alpha hound, will be on hand to lead the tasting, answer all your chow-related questions, and sign new copies of "The Chowhound's Guide to the New York Tristate Area", just published by Penguin, and available at Tekserve for just $15. As an added bonus, Tekserve will also be raffling off three 1GB iPod shuffles to attendees. So be sure to come early for the best chance of winning a new iPod shuffle and before all the chips and cola are gone.
