Thanks for all the advice you gave me on cookware. I have been really happy with the Calphalon pots I got through some great sales at cooking.com, so I decided to see if I could find some deals on Calphalon skillets. Not much going on at cooking.com but there were some amazing deals over at amazon.con.
Here's what I got:
- Calphalon Commercial Hard-Anodized (not nonstick) 12" covered "everyday pan" (deep skillet with 2 side handles) for $24.99...it sells normally for $168...so that is 85% off.
- A combo-pack of 10" and 12" Calphalon Commercial Nonstick omelette pans for $50 (usually $120). 58% off
- Calphalon Commercial Nonstick 10" crepe pan for $22.50 (usually $85). 74% off
I am so thrilled that for less than $100 I was able to get 4 excellent quality pans that I will use all the time. (I've wanted a crepe pan forever.) Now if I can find a 2-quart saucepan (with lid) for a good bargain, I will be set! I already have a 1-qt saucepan, 3.5 qt, saucepan, two 8 qt. stockpots, an 8.5 qt. Dutch oven (it's really wide..I think 14"), and in the garage a 20 qt. stockpot which I pull out once a year after Thanksgiving to make turkey stock. Also have a 2-burner griddle and a grill pan.
I do love that shipping is free at amazon with orders over $25. If anyone is looking for some good cookware, head over there fast.
Thanks again...I can't wait to get my new pans and get cooking!
