Cooking Utensils 18/10 or 18/8?

As I currently have no cooking utensils (apart from the few that I will leave behind when I move countries) I am looking at setting up my kitchen with long term items instead of a quick and cheaper fix.

In regards to cooking utensils is there an advantage to buying 18/10 over 18/8 stainless steel where possible? All I know is that the 18 stands for the % of chromium and the 8 and 10 stands for the % of nickel. What really interests me is if the 18/10 will hold up better in the dishwasher over time and be corrosion resistant?

Cheers :-)
