I made black beans last night in the slow cooker. It is a staple in my house. I add big chunks of onion, red peppers, garlic and herbs tied with a twine. In the morning, I usually blend all the big chunks and put it back into the pot of beans and add salt and pepper to taste. The herbs tied is only for flavor, and I don't blend them. But I asked my housekeeper to do it and she blended everything, including the twine. Is it safe to eat the beans with that twine? It is 100% cotton. Thanks!!
