Okay, I admit it. There's just no time around here to do Thanksgiving the old fashioned way, so for the last few years I have been cooking my turkey the week before and freezing it. There, I said it.
Does anyone else do this? My family and I own a couple of retail businesses, and I can't be in two places at the same time, so I've opted for the choice that leaves me with enough energy to enjoy Thanksgiving after doing the cooking!
I remember being in line at the grocery checkout and telling the cashier what how I handled the big dinner issue, and she looked like she was going to cry - literally! "Oh, can we do that? I've often thought of it, but didn't want to disappoint my family." Another lady in line had the exact same reaction. BIG sighs of relief all around, and my family has never been disappointed on the big day!
Anybody else taking untradtitional short cuts?
