Years ago I had this tasty Tandoori spice powder that I mixed with yogurt, vinegar, and oil to make a marinade for chicken. I'm hoping to make a grilled Tandoori chicken dish for the Fourth, but haven't found a Tandoori source.
Does anyone have recommendations on:
- Spice powder versus a jarred sauce? (I tend to prefer the former, personally, but am interested in others' views); and
- Places to buy it in San Francisco? Bombay Bazar on Valencia? Somewhere else?
