hello all -
i want to make my first attempt at cooking a batch of mussels.
i've seen them cheap at whole foods in a mesh bag in ice, my question is are they fully cleaned and "de-bearded"? i think this process is what i am most worried about.
i will definitely be asking them the next time i'm in there but i figure i'd see what all you hounds do with mussels?
side note - i plan to make them in a simple white wine sauce - wine, garlic, herbs and butter.
