Cooking with $$ Brandy...

gardenator | Mar 10, 201812:49 PM     1

A couple years ago, we recieved a bottle of brandy from Spain as a gift. It was fairly sweet and had a really strong syrupy flavor and I didn’t love it for sipping. But. It tasted wonderful as a near-the-end finish in dishes like onion soup and French lentils. It was just amazing. I remember googling the name on the bottle and found it was quite expensive (near $100 maybe?) but now I don’t remember the name. Can anyone speak to the use of a very rich brandy in cooking and suggest something maybe more affordable? Thanks!
