My boyfriend is severely lactose intolerant. We both love Italian food, but most of my recipes involve butter, cream, cheese...all that good stuff.
I know the general rules--maybe substituting olive oil for butter, etc--but does anyone out there have any tried and true recipes or tips for cookin Italian cuisine for lactose intolerant people without too much sacrifice on the taste side? I'm completely unfamiliar in this arena as I'm blessed with a tough stomach and can eat virtually anything =)
P.S. With the same problem--any recipes for cheesecakes?
