I am looking for feedback on new cookbooks rather than on tried-and-true classics. Of course some contemporary books are destined to become classics and maybe somebody is already sussing those titles out.
Today I bought the BABBO cookbook based on my excellent experience with Batali's first book. I also picked up the DA SILVANO cookbook which -- although it's very simple and straightforward -- might shed some light on the classic recipes that that restaurant prepares so well.
Has anyone tried the JIMTOWN STORE cookbook or IN THE HANDS OF A CHEF? I read a very praising reviews of these books in the New York Times.
Any other titles of note?
