Hi all -
I love artichokes and get 'em at restaurants when I can but have never cooked them myself.. so last night I picked one up, steamed it in a little water for 20 minutes... but it was too tough to eat. So I nuked it for 2 minutes and then it was fine.
But I was clearly wrong. How do I cook an artichoke? I'm looking for any ideas - steaming, boiling, roasting, whatever. Favorite dipping sauces? How do I get at the heart?
