Due to this weekend's menu I am interested in cooking a stuffed pork loin (Cook's Illustrated recipe) on my gas grill instead of the oven.
The recipe calls for cooking the stuffing in the oven (no problem), placing the stuffing inside the loin, lacing the whole thing up and then roasting in the oven (450 degrees F) for 20 minutes, turning the loin over and roasting for another 20 minutes.
If I cook this on my grill (natural gas, temperature is a bit of a mystery but heat is controlable, constant and intense) what should I plan as a cooking time?
I will check for proper internal temperature with my thermometer but I need a ballpark on the time. Any suggestions?
By the way, this recipe is great and never fails to please guests, it is just a lovely presentation with a nice slice of pork around the stuffing.
