My slow cooker is the pits! It can ruin any meal no mater how much I adjust the time/heat. It just runs way too hot. I also just discovered it flunked a Consumer Reports test.
So how do I make my slow cooker recipes in my le cruset? Oven or stove? Time and temp? More or less liquid?
Specifically, I'd love to make a recipe for brisket (4lb) with potatoes carrot and onion. The slow cooker method was 8hrs on low.
