Has anyone owned a Kitchenaid (Whirlpool) convection oven? We recently bought a KOCE500ESS combination microwave/wall oven and wondered if anyone could share their experiences.
The oven is designed to cycle on and off to regulate the temperature during convection bake, can someone who has used these ovens confirm how long the cycles are? Specifically once ours hits the set temp it basically cycles on and off nonstop. Spins for 10 seconds then shuts off... the fans spins down for 5 seconds. When the fanblade is about to stop it spins back up again. You can hear what sounds like relays click on and off every 15 sec as it does this. On roast the fan seems to continuously spin, on bake it's this on and off for hours
is this normal behavior anyone has observed? The temperature itself seems accurate, but my past ovens spun continuously or went to a slower speed but the on-off and short cycles do not seem normal or purposeful. I feel like it would be more constructive to have actual owners feedback on this, rather than CSR reading off a script of a tech looking at diagrams.
