continental disappointment

just had a quick bite with a couple cocktails and well, let's just say i hope to never set foot in that place again.

ordered 2 martinis--not good. i order my martinis just the same way everywhere i go, and these were just not smooth. i find that done appropriately a chopin martini will be smooth and not flavorful. very disappointing, especially since they make such a fuss about their martinis. and at $10.75 a piece for not much? are you kidding me? i've never paid more than $9 for one that was expertly made, and that is in SF, which is supposed to be even more expensive than philly.

cheeseburger--ordered medium rare, came out more like well, meat was boring and heavy, this coming from someone who ADORES beef. the fries were, well, sort of icky. i mean, it probably sounds ridiculous to say they were starchy, but something was also, they brought some sort of chopped pepper sauce thing to dip the fries in, but it was mainly chopped pepper and no sauce, so not good for dipping. i'm sorry, but i expect a little more for $9.50. i don't even think the meat was organic.

honestly, i could not have been more underwhelmed with the food and drink there. stay away.
