Conny's Creamy Cones - MSP

I've been returning to Conny's like a bee to an especially good flower. Aside from the ice cream, there's something about sitting at the picnic table in the parking lot and listening to the families and crickets chirp that just feels perfectly 'summer' to me.

I've been winding my way through the offerings and still have far to go. So far I've had a strawberry milkshake (very tasty - thick but still suckable through the straw, with chunky bits of strawberry), a peach cone (nice - they mix the many extra flavors with the base ice cream. That's how they can have 24 flavors. The mixing makes the ice cream just a little softer than the regular soft serve - I liked it.)

This weekend I was there with family. My sister got a simple hot fudge sundae with chocolate ice cream. Mom got the cheese curds (tasty). Dad had a banana split - it was big and he was very happy with it. I opted for their version of the DQ Blizzard. Mine was peanut butter ice cream with bits of Reese's Cups mixed in. The peanut butter ice cream was wonderful - sweet and salty. The candy tasted a bit stale. I'll need to try other options to see if I should avoid mix-ins in the future.

I've been on a turtle kick lately so I'll be heading back soon for their turtle sundae.
