i just had a fantastic dinner at china star. it was just my third time there--i'm relatively new to the district. we sorted through the chowhound recommendations and picked a bunch of dishes from the list we brought with us.
one of the dishes we ate was sichuan chili chicken, and we were somewhat perplexed by the huge amount of peppers--were we supposed to eat all of them? some of them? pick the chicken out from under the peppers?
other dishes we had were salt and pepper eggplant and ma po bean curd, plus scallion pancakes and spicy and sour dumplings. all fantastic.
