Comus Inn Sunday Brunch

Gateshead | Jun 9, 2005 06:02 PM

I had Sunday Brunch at the newly opened (6 months) Comus Inn. The Inn, for those who do not know, is located in (surprise) Comus, Maryland, just inside the Montgomery County line. Getting there requires you to take exit 22 off of Interstate 270 and going west a few miles to the cross roads village of Comus (in the shadow of Sugarloaf Mountain). The staff and ambiance was perfect. The buffet very good but a little light on choices. The cost for brunch without beverage is $28 per person.

They had a fresh omelette or waffle table, a carving table with fresh ham and beef, some really great just smoked fresh West Coast King salmon, the usual assortment of rolls and 6 or so hot dishes as well as a desert table. Everything was very well prepared, but as indicated in the intro, the choices were of a little skinny.

The Inn is in the process of installing an awning on their patio overlooking Sugarloaf Mountain. For those who enjoy eating outdoors in these summer days, this will be the premier location.

If others have gone to the Comus Inn, I would love to read their comments.
