Today my son and I wanted a quick light lunch (it did not turn out to be that light)
We had the following:
Won Ton Soup wihtout noodles, there were 7 won tons a little smaller that Ming Tai's four. I like the broth and won ton at Ming Tai's better. There were lots of shrimp to pork ratio, but I think the shrimp at Ming Tai were fresher and had more snap to them also higher shrimp to pork ratio.
Pork and Chicken Balls congee, Fat Wong's Chinese name is wonderful congee for life so the congee was rich and very good and the meatballs were just fine. I like congee/jook here a little better.
We also had a pig organs over turnip side dish. I know there not alot of fans for this dish but I am. Clean taste but I like the sauce to have a little more heat (spicy) thickeness to it but was very good.
The we saw the ja lueng go by and I had to have a order. But very interesting thing happened. The fried bread and rice noodle here on it's own is better then Ming Tai's. But we like the protion of fried bread to rice noodles at Ming Tai better. We did see the rice noodle chef making fresh noodles when we had lunch.
We also show Hong Kong style chow mein go by someelse for our next visit.
Cost before tip was $19.
With it being open late then if really a nice option of late dinners.
