buon giorno, cani. Trying to plan a semi-special dinner. We like Italian (Buca di S.Antonio in Lucca and the tripe maestro "il tripaio" truck in Firenze two of my fav's) and enjoy A16's food and wine but it's way too loud. We've never tried Delfina--is it significantly quieter/more comfortable than A16 (I suspect its popularity makes it slammin'n'jammin'). Moving to a different 'hood and style, how's the quality of food and preparation at Pesce, and how soft is the ambience? We've enjoyed Oliveto but found the service too cool for a place that likes to think it's a "best of"; haven't returned after Canales' full ascent and supposed improvements. Shifting styles again, I'm intrigued by Ame and we enjoyed Terra, but is there substance behind those high tariffs--lots of worthy competition at that price strata--would we be better off at a more conventional, high end Japanese eatery? thanks to all
