Commanders Palace Lunch - Downhill Alert - LV

Wayne | Nov 20, 2005 01:38 PM

On our most recent visit to Commanders Palace we did lunch. The 1880 luncheon special was some kind of catfish and a pulled pork dish ... both were very disappointing. Even the turtle soup was a let down. I had the oyster po-boy ... another let down ... not many oysters ... small ones ... and not a lot of flavor to them. The bannas foster was good, as was the bread pudding... Past experiences were very good, so this was a total let down... especially after having touted this as a 'must have' experience to our lunchmates. ... at least the 25 cent martinis took a little of the 'pain' out of the experience.
