COMMANDER'S PALACE DINNER NOV. 1

Janice Mercer | Nov 8, 2005 06:00 PM

Had an excellent dinner at Commander's Palace on Nov. 1.

I had the $39 three course meal. Turtle soup, nut crusted white fish (not sure what kind of fish) and then the bread pudding. My husband and I were fighting over the bread pudding in the end. He had ordered a different fish with a smoked salmon starter and didn't have the bread pudding. He was SORRY. It was sooooooo good ... the meringue was delish ... our waiter told us some people pick up the ramekin and chew the stuck on bits off. Oh dear.

They made me a very, very generous Ketel One martini with two olives ... perfectly chilled and just right.

The room we were seated in (non-smoking) was nothing exciting but our servers were all very enthusiastic and friendly. I will definitely return.
