Coming for Easter weekend - thoughts on brunch and one dinner

MusicSue1 | Feb 29, 2016 12:07 PM

Hi folks! So I'm returning to my favorite big city in the US from Friday through Monday over Easter with my mom, and looking for help from you wonderful knowledgeable folks. I think I've settled on Craft for one dinner because we hadn't gotten there on our last visit, keep in mind my mom is not a super adventurous eater but does like good food.

I'm looking for an Easter brunch place.....I had looked up some recommended spots, and saw places like Bar Boulud, Maialino, Colicchio and Sons, Lincoln, Estela. I was leaning toward Bar Boulud because of the fairly straightforward menu, but have read mixed reviews. It doesn't have to necessarily have a special Easter brunch menu, and please no buffets. Plus I was thinking maybe no Italian because of the next request.

For the one other dinner, thinking fancy Italian. We've already done Del Posto twice and Babbo - I was thinking L'artusi but nothing available, at least not on OpenTable. Other suggestions would be much appreciated.

Also, any small places/wine bars/casual spots near our hotel on Third Ave at 52nd worth hitting?

Price and location are not really a big deal, we splurge about once a year and don't mind traveling around - Manhattan preferred.

Thanks in advance, everyone!

Bar Boulud,
Maialino,
Del Posto,
Babbo
