Stopped by Comida Yucatan in the Tenderloin this week. A true hole in the wall with pretty good food. Had the Relleno Negro but with chicken. Soupier and spicier than the more stew-like turkey version at Poc Chuc, but still a nice bowl of delicious earthiness. Served with a leg quarter that literally fell off the bone as you picked it up, and five handmade tortillas. The tortillas were fairly thick and better eaten when warm (I only got through three). I also tried and enjoyed a panucho with carne asada. A very flovorful and hearty version for about $2.50.
I checked out the place on Yelp afterwards and was surprised it had under 4 stars. Reading thru the reviews though revealed the problems were with hamburgers and pizzas they apparently once served, and with deliveries. The actual Yucatan food reviews were quite good.
