My husband and I will be in Oakland next week to begin our official condo/house search. We've rented a house as our home base in NOBE (north Oakland, Berkeley, Emeryville) and will be meeting with a realtor looking at places pretty much every day. We will have a car. That said, we want to take advantage of East Bay dining while there. We've eaten at a lot of restaurants over the years but there are still so many to explore. Going over the Eater 38 list published in Spring of this year two places caught my attention: Comal and Duende. Anyone have any current opinion/experience about either place? I did a search here using the past 12 months as a filter but did not come up with much. Thanks.
