I was craving cold udon soup today like the one I had in Tokyo- I still remember the piquant taste of the broth (slightly flavored with kimchee)...so good on a hot day. I trekked to St Marks Place which I know to be "Little Tokyo"- alas. I did find very good cold suba at Zen Sushi (the only flaw for otherwise excellent soba was the wasabi was not fresh). As I recall cold udon was next to impossible to find in Japan, so my hopes are not high. Any suggestions welcome!
