I went to San Tung restaurant on Irving today for lunch hoping they would have some good cold dishes to beat the heat.
Their platter of "cold chicken" was just the ticket. Perfectly chilled and firm slices of five spice chicken with chunks of cucumber, sprigs of cilantro and a thin sauce on the bottom. There was a ton of chicken, and it was incredibly tasty. It really hit the spot on a day like today.
We also went for the cold noodles, which were of course delicious and toothsome, but were more in the "not hot/lukewarm" category than actually cold.
