A quick note that local third wave coffeehouses Iconik and Betterday have each opened up and outpost in downtown Santa Fe.
Iconik took over the coffee counter at Collected Works bookstore, and they have a small, but decent subset of offerings from their original location, including pour overs of several of their own single origin coffees.
Betterday opened a coffee and pie cart right on the Plaza, open, I believe, Tuesday through Sunday. Stumptown's Hairbender espresso is always just a little too acidic for my taste, but it's still quite good, and made better due to their keeping actual ceramic espresso cups handy. They were sold out of pie by the time I got there, but I'll try it eventually.
