Coffee Roasters In NYC?

K. McB. | Mar 14, 2001 02:46 PM

I'm sick of giving money to Starbucks (never as good as when I used to have it shipped from Seattle, and getting worse all the time)and I only make it over to Gourmet Garage now and again for their pretty good blends. I got to thinking about the good coffee I used to have in San Francisco and wondering if there are any nice, old Italian coffee roasters around Manhattan. Guess they don't have to be Italian. There is a coffee roaster near me in Queens (Baruir's) but while I like everything else at the store, I'm not really fond of their coffee. I don't have a car, so Manhattan's my best bet. If I don't come up with anything I'll either have to try ordering it from SF, or see where Kate's Joint gets their tasty joe.
