coffee-obsessed NYer to visit Philly, needs recs

I'm blowing this two-bit town for a day or two, with its Starbucks on every corner and generally mediocre local cafes.
In Philly, I'm going to drink coffee at La colombe and Torreo. anything great that I'm missing? Is Anthony's Italian worth a visit?
also, I'm going to need a pint or two to come down from my high. Which pubs have the highest ratio of great selection to fratty atmosphere?
One more thing. I'm going to need to eat something besides pastry. Is Philly cheesesteak a cliche, or is it reaally delicious. any recs on where to get it, or any other cheap, delicious food?
Rittenhouse area preferred, since it's close to ground zero of my coffee obsession, but I will travel.
Thanks!
