I know many people think this area is a culinary wasteland. Well it's slowly changing, and for the better. Those of you who are ramen fans probably already know about Jin. Lines down the block. Now, there's Kura Kuma, a small, but wonderful espresso bar on LaSalle, with well made espresso drinks (made with Counter Culture beans), and a selection of fresh delicious pastries from Balthazar Bakery. Far superior to anything else in the neighborhood. Not inexpensive, but if you are willing to pay for quality you will get it here. Very nice owners who live in the neighborhood, and a loyalty card for frequent customers. Just thought I would share.
