One of my favourite French meals is filet de bar sauce oseille, or cod in sorrel sauce. I've haunted the French restaurants around here and nobody ever makes it -- either they're small bistros and concentrate on poulet frites and steak frites and quiches, or they're high-end places where such a homestyle dish would not be offered.
I really crave it. I can make it myself, but sometimes I just want to go out.
I am in the East Valley, but I'll travel anywhere east to Rowland Heights, north to Agua Dulce, south to San Juan Capistrano, or west to Ventura.
