Coconut question

Anyone know if there is such a thing as genuine coconut extract or flavoring for use in baking? All i've ever been able to find in my many local (Los Angeles) grocery stores is the imitation flavoring, and an internet search didn't turn up anything either. I love making coconut cakes, etc., and I really don't want to "adulterate" my otherwise high quality ingredients with an artificial flavoring agent, but I also find that coconut milk or cream of coconut doesn't always give as strong a coconut-y flavor as I'd like. Any ideas?
