Coconut Cake Evansville, Indiana?

Slewis | Nov 22, 201802:43 PM

Hello- long shot, I know. A friend turned 60 today and her husband really wanted to give her a special coconut birthday cake. This cake was served at their 1995 wedding in Evansville. They ordered it through a local deli that has since gone out of business (2013). Apparently, it was so coveted that the deli would not divulge the bakers' names except to say that it was made by 2 area sisters. I would really love to get one for them (or get the recipe, if possible). Is this ringing a bell for anyone? I see online that one bakery is currently owned by 2 sisters, Grannie's Secret Homemade Desserts. Not sure if this is them- thought I would reach out them after the holiday and ask the community in the meantime.
