Cocoa Latte - new at St Clair and Christie

Arcadiaseeker | Dec 16, 2009 06:31 AM

I tried Cocoa Latte for lunch yesterday (carry out). Had a BLT panini that came with soup (cream of sweet potato). Although I carried out, I had a look around the place -- it's tiny but comfy, with tables and table service and a few small armchairs that looked quite welcoming. They also have a cute gas fireplace in back. There's also a spacious looking patio out the back which I presume will be good for the warmer months.

The panini was very tasty made with pancetta. My only complaint -- it could have been grilled longer but I think the guy was new behind the counter and being trained (it's only their second or third day). The soup was wonderful -- good flavour and nice and creamy. All in the meal cost under 7 bucks -- a very good price I thought given the portion size and the quality of ingredients. Will definitely try it again.

Another small complaint -- they have chocolate boxes in the window. Perhaps I am too literal in nature, but I thought they sold chocolates and was quite excited about this prospect. Alas, they do not -- the boxes are merely for show.
